More great freebie sites with no credit card required!

The Git-R-Free network is one of the newer freebie companies out there. They launched their network in April 2007 and since have quickly gained a reputation as one of the best in the business. They have a wide variety of sites ranging from simple, easy to complete no credit card sites where you and your referrals only have to complete .25-.5 credits worth of offers to more difficult sites where you have to complete up to 5 credits worth of offers. They have what is probably the widest variety of prizes to choose from (from normal freebie prizes like ipods, video games, and cash all the way to more exotic prizes like hot tubs and ATVs). Plus they will custom order just about anything else you may want, simply sent them a message telling them what you want and they will tell you how many referrals it will take.

All of the sites in the Git-R-Free Network are fully repeatable and you are "green" for life. Once you complete your offer requirements for each site and get the required amount of referrals, you can continue to get more referrals and cash out over and over. Once you complete your offer requirements you don't have to do any more offers, no matter how many times you cash out.

They also have the biggest selection of offers of any of the freebie networks. At this time they have over 500 offers and still growing. They have some of the best offer crediting also. 90-95% of completed offers are credited to your account automatically without having to do a manual credit request. This is better than any other network (as I have found out. I still haven't been credited for the offer I completed on 360elite4free.com despite several manual credit requests). The offers I completed on their sites were 100% free, required no credit card, and were all credited to my account instantly. I'm pretty impressed so far.

Aditionally, all users who sign up for the site are verified. This is done by putting in your phone number. They will then either call you or send you a text message (whichever you specify) and give you a pin number. You then type the pin number into the site when asked. It takes about ten seconds to do and helps reduce the number of scammers signing up through your referral link.

They have two non credit card sites which I will list below and on the right side of the page. They also have a lot of other sites. While their other sites aren't strictly no credit card sites, there are offers that don't require a credit card so you can complete them without a card also, although if you do a bunch of their sites you will probably run out of non credit card offers eventually.

Poor Folk Git-R-Free:

http://PoorFolk.Git-R-Free.com/?r=12902

Get one video game for any console (3 referrals), rock band for PS3 or Xbox 360 (6 refs), or custom order. Simply sign up, complete 0.5 credits worth of offers (very easy to do), and get the required amount of friends to do the same

Spare and Change Git-R_Free:

http://SpareAnyChange.Git-R-Free.com/?r=12902

Get one video game for any console (6 referrals), or custom order. Simply sign up, complete 0.25 credits worth of offers (even easier to do), and get the required amount of friends to do the same

So far I'm more impressed with the Git-R-Free network than I am with any other freebie site. They have more offers than any others, their offer crediting is better than any other network, and they have one of the largest varieties of prizes (plus custom orders). I'll continue to keep you updated on my progress as well as my experiences with them. Have fun and good luck getting your free stuff.

No Credit Card Sites

So far, I haven't had much luck with the freebie sites I was trying out. I came across some no credit card sites run be the Free4Every1 network. None of the offers on these sites require a credit card. They are worth different amounts or credit and you just have to do one credit worth of offers and then get the required number of other people to do the same to get your free gift. The catch is that it takes a lot more referrals to get your prize. However, it seems like it would be easier to get referrals and get them to actually complete offers because there is no credit cards involved. I decided to give it a try and so far it isn't working out too bad. I actually have eight referrals so far on the free Ipod site and a couple of referrals on both the cash site and the gaming site. Feel free to sign up for these sites using these links:

Referral Trading

After doing much research, it seems that most of the people out there doing these freebie sites and actually getting their prizes are doing so by trading referrals. There are two basic ways of doing this.

The first is to trade referral for referral. Basically someone sign up for a program as a referral for you and complete an offer. In turn, you then do the same for them. Remember that you can only sign up for each site once and can only do each offer once, even for different sites. I would suggest that you use a spreadsheet or some other method of keeping track of your trades.

The second method is to trade referrals for cash. Basically you pay people to sign up through your referral link and complete their offer requirements. The going rate is generally half of what you get for each referral. For example, on yourps34free.com, you can get $425 for ten referrals. Which means you are getting $42.50 for each person you refer who completes an offer. Most people paying for referrals will offer roughly half that amount for each completed referral. Even though you are paying people to sign up, you can still make a nice profit. There's also quite a bit of money to be had by completing offers for people in return for cash.

Here is a list of sites with forums where you can find people to trade referrals with:

Progress So Far

Free Xbox 360: 5 referrals, 0 completed
Free PS3: 10 referrals, 0 completed

So far, I can't say that I've had much luck working toward my freebies. I've actually managed to get a handful of referrals, but none of them have completed an offer, so they aren't providing me with any credit. I'm starting to get a little frustrated, but I'm not going to give up yet. I've tried a few different ways of advertising my referral link. I've had some luck, but haven't made any real progress yet.

The first method I tried was a simple one. I posted my referral link on my myspace page. This didn't really get me anywhere. I didn't get a single referral from this method yet. Granted, I don't really use myspace that much and don't have a whole lot of myspace friends, so I wasn't expecting much from this.

I've also seen a lot of people advertising their referral links through ebay listings. This is clearly against Ebay's terms of service and probably a dumb idea, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I posted an ebay listing that included a good description of the program and how it works. As I expected, my listing was removed from ebay within a matter of hours, however, during the brief time it was on ebay I managed to receive two referrals for the free Xbox 360. Unfortunately, neither of them actually completed an offer after they signed up so they aren't providing me with any referral credit.

I happened to stumble upon a website called Getref (http://www.getref.com/) that supposedly allows you to easily get referrals. The basic concept of the site is that you either earn credits by signing up for other people's programs or you can buy credits. You then use these credits to buy referrals from other people for your own freebie program. Here's an instructional video from youtube on how to use the site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5poqAamUg_E

This sounded like an interesting idea so I decided to give it a try. I ended up buying credits and used them to promote both of my freeebie programs. I managed to get three more referrals for the Xbox 360 site and ten referrals for the ps3 site. Unfortunately, none of my referrals actually completed an offer, or they at least haven't been credited for their offer if they did. This site doesn't seem to be an effective tool for promoting a referral link. Most of the people on getref are just signing up for your program to earn credits to promote their own program. They aren't actually interested in the offer. I'll keep an eye on things to see if any of these people actually complete an offer, but I'm not holding my breath. As of now, I have five referrals on the free xbox site and ten on the the free ps3 site, with not a single one of them completing an offer. It isn't looking good so far.

On a side note, I still have not been credited for completing my offer on 360elite4free.com. I filed a missing credit request on January 23rd. It says it may take up to 10 days for the request to be processed. So far it has been 8 days. On the status page it says the request has been received, but I still haven't been given credit. We'll see what happens.

First Post - I hope I don't get screwed over

I've been seeing advertisements for websites like these for quite a while now. They claim to give out free Xbox 360s, Wiis, PS3s, Ipods, etc. All you have to do is complete one of their offers, then get X amount of friends (depending on the prize you want) to sign up for the site and do the same. I never paid much attention to them because I figured they were just a scam to get people's credit card numbers or just get them to sign up for worthless offers.

Then I began seeing stories about this sort of thing on tv. There was a segment about it on Tech TV (which is now G4 TV) where the hosts of the show tried this and actually got free ipods. Stories like this were featured on other news shows as well. There are some videos floating around on youtube that shows clips from these shows. Watch them here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33EQbeCJAKk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZMaP73Uc4E
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gca__4WnWQ4

This got me thinking it might be worth a try, but after looking into it further, it still seemed like too much hassle and I still wasn't convinced it wasn't a scam. I figured I would just end up getting screwed somehow and would never see anything for free.

I finally decided to give it a shot when a close friend of mine actually managed to get a free ipod from one of these sites. I was amazed. He had actually managed to get all of the referrals needed and they actually sent him an Ipod touch. He had gotten some friends and family to sign up for the site and complete an offer (make sure they have different shipping addresses and sign up on different computers. These sites check ip addresses and shipping addresses to make sure people aren't registering multiple accounts). Then he had gotten the remaining referrals by posting his referral link in various places around the internet. The process had taken him about a month from the time he signed up to the time he got his Ipod.

This was enough to convince me to give it a shot. I already had an Ipod, so I decided to go for an Xbox 360. First I signed up for the Xbox 360 website from Trainn, aka Transcendant Innovations. See the link on the right side of this page. My friend recommended I do the stamps.com offer because it is a free trial and cost's nothing as long as you cancel it before the trial is over. I signed up for stamps.com and installed the software on my computer. Unfortunately I didn't receive credit for my offer. After some investigation I realized that I should have cleared my cookies in my internet browser and set it too accept all cookies before I did the offer. After seven days, you are allowed to file a missing credit request. Be sure to save the confirmation email from the offer because they will ask for this in the missing credit request. Yesterday was seven days since I completed the offer and I filed a missing credit request. It says it can take as long as 10 days for the request to be processed so we'll see if I get credit. I'll keep you updated.

After this first annoying attempt, I thought I'd give it another shot. Since you can only sign up for one account per site, I decided to try the Trainn's free PS3 offer. This time I cleared my cookies before doing the offer and set my browser to accept all cookies. They also recommend that you use either Internet explorer or Firefox as other browsers may not be compatible with their site. This time I tried the "Chuck Mullaney Teaches Ebay" offer because it was also a free trial. It charged me a $1.95 processing fee, but that was it as long as I cancel before the free trial is over. This time I was given credit for the offer within just a few minutes. I had the first step completed for this site.

I chose the stamps.com and "Chuck Mullaney Teaches Ebay" offer because they were free trials and I didn't want to spend money. There are some really great offers if they are something you are interested in anyway, such as Gamefly, Blockbuster Online, Netfilx, and many others.

The first step is done for the PS3 site and hopefully I'll get credit for the offer I completed on the Xbox 360 one. Now time for the next phase of the plan...getting referrals. I need 9-12 referrals for each site depending on what bundles I want. Time for some creative advertising. I've got quite a few ideas on how to advertise my referral link. I'll try them out and keep you updated on how they work out.
